Digital photo management software, Picasa, will be more popular since it’s being the Google product. This software is to help people to search, edit and to share the photos. It’s can detect the new photo and add it in the related folder in automatic way. The new version will also give the user a unique function, share photos due to the web.

Now, the user can uploading the photos collection in the web or blog, due to e-mail or CD’s, even print it out at home. The file can be download at http://picasa.google.com/  and the size is around 5.1 MB.

The usage |

One | Get the Picasa file, an do the installation.

Two | Click the Picasa2.exe icon to see the main windows. Not only simple and interesting, but the function is quiet easy to understand. Generally it was separated to four main spaces.

Three | Picasa will tell the photos after the scanning session. You also have the ability to upload it manually, go to File and Import button.

Four | If the photos is placed in the digital camera or in the USB storage, use the import button. Click the button and the next window will appear, and then click the Select Device. Picasa will scan it and import it the directory.

Five | After the scanning and import session, you can have a slide show easily.

Six | The Timeline button will give the chronology of the photos. The Gift CD button is to make a photo collection in CD. Click this button. The next window will give you a chances to select the photos, add new folder, the slideshow function, the size of photos, naming the CD and insert the Picasa application. The Burn Disc button is to start the process.

Seven | Picasa also have the function to edit, modify, and add the additional effect to the photo. Double click to any photo, then it will give a three main function: Basic Fixes, Tuning, and Effects.

Eight | The Basic Fixes – the function is Crop, Straighten, and Redeye. The Crop is to cut, the Straighten is to straight the tilt picture, and the Redeye is to minimize the effect of ‘red eye’ at portrait picture.

Nine | Tuning – the function is Fill Light, Highlights, Shadows and Colour Temperature. You can try it and have the feel.

Ten | The Effects – mainly is to give an additional effect to photo. The interesting is, it has 12 small boxes which will give a different kind of effect. Each box will give the picture that will be happen if the effect been use.

Eleven | Now, see the lower part of Picasa window. You can notice that it have a big button like Web Album, Email, Print Order, BlogThis!, Collage, and Export. Each button will give a different command.

Twelve | You can also send the photos in the collection through the e-mail that considered. Click the Email button, then it will appear the next window. In this time, it can only support this three email application: Microsoft Outlook, Gmail, and Picasa Mail.

Click the photo that you need to send, then click the email application that will use.

You can also try and error for other function that I can’t to cover up in this article. So why wait, try at your own.
