This is MPH Readers’ Circle membership card. This card can be use during your trade in MPH bookstore. The fee is about RM20, and it’s valid for 2 years. But it’s only for a resident of Malaysia, and just valid for MPH outlet around Malaysia. This membership is individual and non-transferable. 

The used is simple, just presented to the casher before your purchase to record spends of amount. No accumulation of a point for backdated receipt, special saving, bulk purchase, and purchases of MPH Gift Vouchers.

The rebate is simple; every RM1 spent, the members will award 1 Knowledge Point. There is 2 accumulation periods in every year – January to July and July to December. (This is one example why I get it in January) But one things, about 300 points, at least you must get before you can get any rebate. Unfortunately, the point cannot be carry forward since they say, ‘For every new period, point of accumulation will begin from nil’. And they say also to keep our receipt of every purchase, maybe for some prove. By means, redeemed your rebate voucher within 6 month, or you will lost all the points.

Why I really need this ?

I can enjoy a discount of 20% of every selected book.

The birthday special; get a discount about 15% of every purchase at the date of birth of yourself.

During MPH sale; we can get a special discount during sales period.

Rebate voucher; hahaha, get your rebate voucher when the time has come.

Monthly email updates; to remind us about the activities and special promotion, they can remind us up to date.

15% discount at MPH Book Café; used to be when you dine at their café.

MRC Lounge; this is a comfortable lounge for reading only for the members. Available at MPH Mid Valley, MPH Subang Parade, MPH Megastore 1 Utama, MPH Gurney Plaza, and MPH The Curve only.  

And some more other benefit… For me RM20 is not too much since I always buy a book from MPH, unless no stock available and I will go for Kinokuniya KLCC. If you always buy books, you should consider getting this membership – good for Malaysian – start reading and collecting books. Since reading will give us a lot of benefit.
