The hillside house

Design idea : perfect linear
Location: Damansara

Material and Construction : Concrete structure

Site context : housing lot inside a gated community

The brief:

The idea is to use a line as a main axis. The linear axis of the building is due to the orientation of the sun path diagram, from east to the west.

The very perfect straight line is use to be a contrast idea for the natural landscape surrounding - the house (manmade) vs Landscape and the slope (natural)

Design intention:

The plan - almost in mathematical order for purity and clarity.

In the house, the linear axis in vertical and horizontal direction are dissected by a several cross axial geometry. the vertical and horizontal path are also been use as a good transition and maximum visual linkage including the physical interaction along it's house occupant.

The strategy - Bring or invite the nature surroundings into thehouse

In medium of light, a good cross ventilatio, and water element. It had been reflect on all plans, elevations and cross sections.

Capalise on the site - Since the view on site is almost multidirectional.

Use it as a premium view to bring inside the house; and use the infinity pool as a bridge of nature and the house. Contrast it; minimalist the negative impact of the road and neighbour by using a some lourves and shading it for privacy.

Atrium - Atrium @ central courtyard is use to be one of the vertical line in the heart of the house - for a connection among the volume inside, for a good visual interaction and also bring a abundant into the house in term of natural lighting. Also for the interchange ventilation for all the levels.
